15 years of Public Health Experience. Key areas of expertise are Tuberculosis Elimination, Program Planning and Implementation, Evidence based policy & Proposal development, Inter-sectoral Collaboration, Networking, Airborne Infection Control, Private Health Sector Engagement.
Leading project “1000 TB Free Villages” implemented by Union South East Asia (USEA) Trust in collaboration with NTEP, Panchayati Raj Institutions and JSW Foundation with objective to strengthen activities that include demonstration of a concept for TB Free Villages that fosters community ownership, early case finding through active and systematic screening, treatment initiation, follow up and other public health actions including TB Preventive Therapy that gears towards transforming 1000 villages as ‘TB free’ so as to accelerate the progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals targets related to Ending TB.
Leading project Patient Provider Support Agency (PPSA) for Private Sector Engagement for TB Elimination in Maharashtra States of India through NTEP inherent funding mechanism. Our Model of PPSA- Nikshay Mitra model received Best Public Health Practices award by NHM, Government of India.
Worked in WHO NTEP Technical Support Project as a Medical Consultant for National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) for six and half years.
Worked as Subject Matter Expert for TB for Project on Assessment of Institutional Arrangements and Human Resources of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) India for Work Load Analysis of present staffing and future staffing projections for World Bank through Oxford Policy Management Consultancy.
Worked as Subject Matter Expert for TB with Empower School of Health for Development and Digitization of Technical Content for Online Training on NTEP for Healthcare Personnel in collaboration with Central TB Division and WHO India.
Worked as Independent Consultant with PATH for Needs Assessment for establishment of State Technical Support Units (STSU) under NTEP in 5 states of India namely Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Telangana and Odisha for streamlining partnerships for Elimination of Tuberculosis.
